Video shows Austrian the lone passenger in PAL flight to Boracay
An Austrian backpacker has posted a video on YouTube to show his good fortune of having an entire Philippine Airlines flight all to himself—to the country's island-paradise of Boracay, no less.
Alex Simon on January 28 posted the video of what he said was his flight to Boracay on February 25, 2015.
Simon is seen on the video interacting with the flight attendants and even the pilots, who played along with his teasing that he had chartered this plane and they were heading to the Maldives.
As they approached the island, Simon can be saying, "Wow, wow, wow! It's like a paradise."
His story has been picked up by The Daily Mail and the story went viral nearly a year after the lucky flight.
"I was little bit surprised and I couldn't believe it. I thought I was dreaming. Later while boarding I just realised that it’s gonna be a special flight because this time I didn´t even need to line up," Simon said in the Mail's interview.
"'I just had luck, I think, that no one else was interested on this day to fly to paradise," he added.
GMA News Online called PAL for a comment on Simon's being the lone passenger to Boracay but the company has yet to send any as of posting time. -Aya Tantiangco/NB, GMA News
