Catriona Gray released a video on Luzon and people can’t get enough of it

Is this one of Catriona’s efforts for her campaign to win Miss Universe this year?

Over the weekend, the Filipino beauty queen released a video about Luzon on her social media channels, and in less than 24 hours, it’s generated more than 1M views.

On her Instagram Stories Monday, Cat expressed disbelief at the warm reception.

In the video, Catriona was seen frolicking in must-see places including Intramuros, Luneta, and Pampanga, highlighting two things: celebrations and the arts.

“The Philippine region of Luzon is very well-known for its craftsmanship with each of its 30 provinces having its own specialty,” Catriona says early on in the video.

Her video zeroed in on Pampanga’s deep tradition of parol-making. She interviewed craftsman Eric Quiwa, who has been making Christmas lanterns for 25 years.

“We’re loud, we love to have fun,” Catriona continues, saying “you always have an invitation to the celebration.”

The 3:55-minute video, made by Jolo Luarca III and produced by Jojo Bragais, got Filipinos from Visayas and Mindanao waiting for Catriona’s video on their regions.

Whether or not this is part of her campaign efforts for the crown, Catriona surely made us love and appreciate our country more. Mabuhay ka, Cat! — LA, GMA News
