Maine and Paolo Ballesteros meet Apo Whang-Od

Maine Mendoza and Paolo Ballesteros are in Northern Philippines shooting for the much-awaited Lenten special of "Eat Bulaga."

In between shoots, the dabarkads trekked further up to the Buscalan Village and met Apo Whang-Od.

Maine posed for a photo with Whang-Od and wrote a respectful tribute to “Kalinga’s 102-year-old tattoo legend – the last and the oldest mambabatok of her tribe – Apo Whang Od.”

Where Maine’s post was appropriately solemn — Whang-Od has been nominated for the Gawad Manlilikha ng Bayan —  Paolo, who got a tattoo from the mambabatok, captured her wicked sense of humor.

He posted a photo of the two of them laughing so hard, and wrote a caption that will make anyone do a double take on the photo and, well, Whang-Od's hand.

“Mabilis talaga kamay ni Apo Whang-Od,” Paolo said.
