In Bataan, a resort that's been heralded the 'Vanguard of Filipino Heritage'

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan has been open to the public since 2010 but it continues to take breaths away, even from repeat visitors.

Considered as the “Vanguard of Filipino Heritage”, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is the extravagant passion project of real estate magnate, Jose Rizalino Acuzar. He started collecting old houses in 2000 when he realized during his travels that most of the countries he visited preserved and celebrated its heritage.

By 2010, he had bought and painstakingly relocated 38 Spanish-Filipino houses to Bataan, opening Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar to the public.

Today, the 28-hectare resort has 60 houses, mostly serving as accommodation for overnight guests, while some casas serve as museums, restaurants, and events places.

Here are some of our suggestions to make the most out of your visit.
