Rhea Santos shows the real deal about moving to another country

Starting a new life in a foreign land might sound fresh and exciting, but it doesn't actually feel that way in the beginning.

Former Unang Hirit host Rhea Santos showed in her latest vlog, which she titled "The Leap," the not very fun parts about starting anew.

Upon their arrival to Vancouver, Canada, Rhea and her family set about getting medical insurance, insurance for their condo unit, and phone lines.

"Ang inasikaso muna namin ang medical insurance namin, we have to have the four of us covered para in case someone gets sick, or merong emergency, hindi kami mamumulubi," she said.

They were taught how to segregate trash and where to put them, before they went about setting up their new home.

But before they could get to that, they had to go shopping for the basic things that they would need, such as laundry baskets, water heater, mini toaster oven.

They then had to open bank accounts, a process that had Rhea's kids conking out.

Despite the potential headaches these necessary tasks could bring, the family was still able to roam around their new city, which also counted for family bonding.

They were able to chill out at English Bay, and go biking together as a family.

They even started taking fitness classes, and Rhea would be out and about in the streets in the wee hours of the morning.

"I miss you everyone. Have a beautiful morning," she said at one point.

"We were on vacation mode at first, but it was not all happy moments. There were also hurdles along the way," she also said.

It looks like Rhea will go in detail about these hurdles at the next episode of her vlog, "Your Morning Girl Rhea."
