5 fun activities online that will allow you to travel and explore the world virtually

With travel restrictions still in place, everyone's pretty much stuck at home amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

However, this doesn't mean you can't tour the world right at your couch.

Klook and the Singapore Tourism Board have prepared some fun activities online to allow people to explore and travel the world virtually. And the best thing about it is it's for free!

Here's a list of destinations you can "tour" without taking a single step outside.

While it's always best to see things in person, the brighter side of virtual travel is you won't need to go through all the hassles of going on a trip across continents.

All thanks to the Virtual Interactive Experiences (VIE) of Klook, you're now just a click away from touring the famous Casa Batllo in Barcelona, Spain on May 30 — complete with an expert guide as host, whom you will have the chance to speak directly.

The tour includes a Q&A, and you can send your questions before the tour begins!

2.  Bali Safari (Indonesia)  and Cebu Safari (Philippines)

Since we can't physically visit the zoos yet and some are still not allowed to operate amid the pandemic, why not visit them virtually?

As part of their VIE initiative, Klook is giving you the chance to get cozy with baby Komodo dragons from Bali Safari in Indonesia on June 6.

Meanwhile, if you're missing the local travel scene, Cebu Safari in the Philippines is also part of the initiative scheduled on June 20.

It's a Saturday, so you can go on a virtual weekend tour with your family or friends.

3.  Wine tour (San Francisco, California)

Wine tasting tours have almost always been part of a travel itinerary.

While you can't taste the wine yourself, Klook can take you to an assorted wine tasting session with Tower Tours in San Francisco California on June 13.

4. Old Royal Naval College (United Kingdom)

You can now visit the "most popular filming location in the world" through a virtual tour at the Old Royal Naval College in the United Kingdom on June 27.

It's right in the heart of the maritime Greenwich World UNESCO heritage site.

Among the blockbuster shows and films shot here include "The Crown," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and "Les Misérables."

Klook said users can look forward to new activities every week starting May 30.

5. Zouk Phuturescapes (Singapore)

If you're missing the party life, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) just found a way for you to have the nightlife euphoria right at the comfort of your own homes.

STB partnered with Asia's iconic nightclub Zouk for a series of free virtual parties for audiences from all over the world.

The party is scheduled on May 30 in Asia, including the Philippines.
