5 dreamy places to visit in Japan when it's safe to travel again

July is the month we commemorate the normalization of the diplomatic relation between the Philippines and Japan. Why not celebrate it by admiring the beauty of the Land of the Rising Sun?

Some Kapuso stars shared their favorite places in Japan where they made priceless memories.

Here are places you can add to your bucketlist while the world waits for the pandemic to pass.

1. Alden Richards - Fukuoka

Alden has done a lot of exploring in Japan, but if he had to pick one place he would recommend the most, it's Fukuoka.

Asia's Multimedia Star adored how "laid-back" the city's atmosphere was compared to other destinations, but Alden enjoyed every location he ever visited in the country primarily due to the good food and people he encountered.

"I'm not gonna get tired of coming back, kasi I love the place," he told GMA News Online.

2. Myrtle Sarrosa - Kyoto

It's no surprise that Myrtle -- who's known for her love of anime and cosplay -- has fallen in love with several parts of Japan.

One of her most recommended locations is Kyoto, which she says "transports you to the beauty and culture of Japan in the past."

"You will love going to their shrines and temples! You can even wear their traditional kimono while walking around their historical landmarks," she said.

3. Bea Binene - Osaka

Bea has travelled all over the world as GMA Network's most talented hosts, but when she was asked which places in Japan were most memorable to her, she said "Osaka."

She also went on a fun Fukuoka trip with her "Beautiful Justice" co-stars.

"It was my first tour of (in a) trip without my mom. So (it was) very "adulting," and being with friends made it more fun."

4. Julie Anne San Jose - Hokkaido

Julie Anne San Jose spent last Christmas break in a winter wonderland known as Hokkaido.

As seen in her Instagram posts, she had a fun time skiing down snowy slopes with her parents and siblings.

It was also the first time Asia's Pop Diva ever saw snow.

5. Gabbi Garcia - Tokyo

Of course, who can forget the Shibuya crossing, the flashing lights and even flashier fashion of Japan's capital?

Gabbi Garcia lived an ultimate millennial fantasy of walking the streets of Tokyo last year with her boyfriend Khalil Ramos.

As expected from the Kapuso It-Girl, she walked the streets in ultra-chic OOTDs and took loads of pics with the cherry blossom trees.
