Japan city makes taken-for-granted manholes shine with anime colors
Who could have thought that lowly manhole covers can be a bet to attract visitors? Japan's Tokorozawa City has re-imagined new possibilities for its sewer lids.
And the "Hole" new world lights up every 6 p.m. to 2 a.m on solar power.
AFP News Agency on Friday tweeted photos of the colorful manholes that appear like circular canvases featuring anime characters in the streets and sidewalks.
