Here’s a virtual food tour around Iloilo’s La Paz public market

Iloilo City is one of the best places to go on a food trip and its La Paz public market is one of the best places to visit in the great foodie city of Iloilo.

For one thing, it houses Netong’s Original La Paz Batchoy, which has been serving the same delicious La Paz batchoy since the 1940's.

Iloilo touri-star Felippe Senina showed us how to find this authentic eatery in a segment on GMA-7’s “Unang Hirit.”

Senina went in for a quick bachoy tutorial and even spoke to Patrick Guillergan, who revealed the secret to why their authentic family recipe withstood the test of time.

Senina also went around the La Paz public market on the hunt for some suman sa ibos, a sweet sticky rice cake quite popular in Iloilo.
