Subic now welcomes tourists from MGCQ areas

Some popular destinations in Subic, Zambales are now open to tourists from areas that are under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).

According to a “Balitanghali” report on Monday, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Administrator Wilma Eisma said tourists will still need to observe health protocols such as the wearing of face masks and shields as well as social distancing.

Some beach resorts also ask guests to fill out contact tracing and health forms prior to entry.

Other resorts have lowered their capacity from 800 guests to 130 to avoid possible overcrowding.

MGCQ is the most relaxed quarantine classification where restrictions on movement and transportation and regulation of operating industries are eased and uniformed personnel are less necessary.  — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
