Escape the hustle and bustle with these 3 travel destinations in Maragondon, Cavite

Looking for the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city?

In Monday's episode of "Good News," Bea Binene explored three destinations in Maragondon, Cavite where one can get fresh air, fresh food, and a peaceful ambiance.

Terra Verde Eco Farm & Resort

For an admission rate of P299, guests can get unlimited fresh air from this resort's 17-hectare farm.

Since 2007, the resort has been giving its customers a great time by ensuring their customers' well-being through their services.

"Mother nature nurtures (and) soothes the tired mental condition. Being outdoors is a good way [to] improve our total wellness in this time of pandemic," said Ericson Atanacio, president of Terra Verde Eco Farm & Resort.

To ensure that the food is as fresh as the surroundings, everything is served from farm to table.

One of their specialties is the Farmer's Salad, a mix of edible leaves and flowers including Gotu Kola, Talinum, Cosmos and Malunggay, topped with a Pinoy-style balsamic dressing.

Accommodations are also strictly based on reservation to ensure that safety protocols are followed.

For those eyeing to stay overnight, Kubins—inspired by the Bahay Kubo and cabins—are available starting from P2,500.

You can also bring your own tents or rent one if you prefer staying outside while camping with a bonfire.

Balsa River Cruise Maragondon

If you wish to get much closer to nature, this is the place for you!

The Balsa River Cruise Maragondon offers a round-trip in the city's waters for 10-15 people, inclusive of pancit and bottled water.

"Very relaxing lalo na nakapaligid talaga sa 'yo si mother nature. Ang fresh ng simoy ng hangin tapos 'di masyadong mainit, puro green 'yung nasa paligid mo," Bea said.

They also allow for unlimited swimming from 9am to 4pm. Both packages cost P2,500.

Riverfront Garden Resort

Craving peace and quiet? The Riverfront Garden Resort allows you to fully reconnect with nature and yourself temporarily due to their no internet policy.

Because they have a weak signal in the area, guests can easily have a break from social media. Their signage even says, "pretend it's 1995."

The day tour costs P250 per head which allows for swimming and touring the whole area.

Overnight rates, meanwhile, would depend on the customers’ chosen rooms.

One of their prides is their Instagram-worthy glamping room. For as low as P2,800, two people can already enjoy the minimalist room complete with toiletries and aircon.

To fully achieve the probinsya feels, food can be served on the riverside. Two of their specialties are the inihaw platter and the sinigang which goes perfectly with the cold breeze brought by the trees surrounding you. —Franchesca Viernes/MGP, GMA News
