This Bulacan hidden gem offers the El Nido experience right at Metro Manila's doorstep

Dreaming of escaping Metro Manila for a quick holiday in Palawan? This hidden gem in Bulacan will give you the same El Nido vibes without having to book a flight.

In Thursday's "IRL," motovloggers Erlinda Corpuz and Alfon Figueroa explored the Secret Haven resort in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

After a 40-minute trek, tourists will be able to unwind and get a breath of fresh air, making it the perfect destination for those craving a quick getaway for just P70.

Bamboo rafting

Combined by the river's cool temperature, bamboo rafting is a great way to experience El Nido without going that far from Manila.

For only P350, one bamboo raft can accommodate five people. Aside from allowing you to relax above water, it will also take you to the Banahaw Cave.

Banahaw Cave

A small cave with rock formations inside, the Banahaw Cave houses live stalagmites and stalactites. Giant stalactites that glimmer in the dark can also be found inside.

Norzagaray River

The clear and shimmering waters of Palawan can be seen in the Norzagaray River, making you feel like you traveled for hours to see such a breathtaking view.

"Solid na solid. Kung makakapasyal kayo rito, ito 'yung hindi niyo dapat ma-miss," Alfon said.

("This is so solid. If you get the chance to visit here, this is what you shouldn't miss.")

Aside from admiring the river from afar, you can also make the most of it by swimming. With the cold water and the wind's cool breeze, your stress and fatigue will be washed away from this experience.

The trip wouldn't be complete, of course, without food. The Secret Haven also offers all-day breakfast meals.  For those planning to stay for days, camping is allowed.

"Bigyan natin ng reward 'yung sarili natin na makakita ng nature."

("Let's give ourselves a reward to see nature.")
