On Coron's Real Street, a local hangout where delicious food and excellent drinks abound
Coron, Palawan is popular for its wonderful diving experience but did you know that locals are on to something delicious on land?
On Real Street stands what locals call B Complex where they've been enjoying insanely good food and drinks.
Housed in a warm building made up of bamboo, wood, and concrete, the B Complex is like a one-stop shop for any possible craving during your stay on the island.
Composed of stores owned by artisans, the B Complex is sure to offer a wide variety of goods to choose from. There's pizza, pasta, and sandwiches from Chowline, which follows the "Americana takeout" concept.
Owned by American chef Eric Hermes and his Filipina wife Netlie, Chowline offers food made with “recipes, majority of them are from our families. Simple lang and we try to make it really like we’re making it for our family and friends at home,” Nestlie said.
“I cook the things that we love to eat and all our ideas are pretty much based on there and the recipes we’ve got over the years from our family, things we’ve done during the holidays," Eric added.
And then there's The Brew House offering the only craft beer in Coron.
It has six variants on offer — Maambeng Cali-Pils, Palm Tree Pils, Irako IPA, Aki Wheat, Olympia Pale Ale, and Oki Burning — all available in either 400ml or 500ml servings.
Taking up a huge space in the complex is Bam Bar. With its bean bags, tables, and stools, it's become the place to chill with your friends, rest your weary drunken heads, or of course, drink some more.
Among their must-try signature cocktails include East Side, Calamian Spice, and BAM-ichelada.
Reachable just by riding a tricycle, the B Complex also houses Calle Cinco Cantina for Mexican goodies and Follow Your Taste for ice cream yogurts.
What are you waiting for? Just tell kuya driver you’re going to Bam Bar and you’ll get all these with ease! — LA, GMA News
