Looking for adventure? This sanctuary in Isabela is a must-visit

Looking for a new place to have an adventure? It’s time to head to Ilagan Sanctuary in Isabela!

As seen on Vonne Aquino’s “24 Oras” report Tuesday, the place is a must-visit for those seeking to get closer to nature while experiencing new and exciting activities.

One of the place’s offerings is the Tree Top Adventure. It lets visitors cross a hanging bridge to see the beautiful stalactite and column rock formation located at the main cave, where fruit bats live.

There’s also a zoo that features various animals including snakes, tigers, the long-tailed macaque, and the Asian palm civet.

If you’re game for an adrenaline rush, check out the view from 100 feet above the ground through the 350-meter zip line. After all of these activities, beat the heat by swimming in a spring water pool.

Located in Ilagan City, the sanctuary reopened its doors to the public in December. Each group of guests are given a tour guide and free shuttle service around the 819-hectare area.

Apart from serving guests, Ilagan Sanctuary also aims to revive tourism and livelihood for the locals, especially the tour guides. – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
