Philippines named Asia's leading beach and dive destination by the World Travel Awards

It’s a back-to-back win for the Philippines at the 29th World Travel Awards, which recognize the best in the travel and tourism industry.

In an Instagram post by the Department of Tourism (DOT), the award-giving body named the Philippines as Asia’s Leading Beach Destination and Asia’s Leading Dive Destination.

This is the country’s sixth time winning the beach destination award, and a fourth for the dive destination award.

The Philippines also won both awards last year .
