Club Paradise Palawan, Negros Occidental's Sagay and Bago cities among Top 100 Green Destinations for 2022


Club Paradise Palawan and Negros Occidental's Sagay and Bago Cities were named among the Top 100 Green Destinations for 2022.

The foundation made the announcement on Tuesday during the Green Destinations 2022 - Future of Tourism Summit in Athens.

While Club Paradise Palawan was praised for its projects to uplift communities, Sagay City boasts of its mangrove forest protection through community-based Eco Tourism Project.

Bago City, meanwhile, revives the majestic diversity of the Bago Watershed through various projects including the Assisted Natural Regeneration.

Among those also in the Top 100 list are Alay in Kyrgyzstan, Alberta Southwest Crown of the Continent in Canada, Alto Mayo Tarapoto in Peru, and Alto Minho in Portugal.

Green Destinations Top 100 stories is a list of hundred "excellent initiatives for sustainable destination development from all around the globe."
