Vanessa Hudgens set to film travel documentary in the Philippines this March

Filipino-American actress Vanessa Hudgens is set to film a travel documentary in Manila and Palawan later this March.

According to Variety, the documentary will showcase the relationship of Vanessa with her mom, Gina, and Vanessa's sister, Stella. Vanessa's mom was born in the Philippines and emigrated to the United States when her mother was 25 years old.

"I feel like ours is such a relatable story to so many women all over the world," Hudgens said. "The more that we can share, the more we can lift each other up."

Paul Soriano, the Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications, is currently attached to direct it. He will also serve as producer and executive producer under his production company, TEN17P.

"We are honored to work with Vanessa for this film project. It's inspiring to note that with everything she has achieved in life, she wants to discover her Filipino roots and pay homage to her mother's country. Hopefully, this opens doors for many more collaborations to come," said Soriano.

The project has no title yet and no distributor has been disclosed.

Vanessa has starred in movies like "High School Musical" and "Bad Boys for Life." She is engaged to baseball player Cole Tucker.
