Ely Buendia on Eraserheads' US-Canada tour: 'Hopefully, we bring a little bit of home to them'

The Eraserheads has commenced their tour of North America, flying from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Wednesday.

The monumental Filipino band, comprised of Ely Buendia, Raymund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro, are bringing the wildly successful reunion concert "Ang Huling El Bimbo" to various cities in the U.S. and Canada including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Winnipeg, and Edmonton.

GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA News TV are among the sponsors of the Eheads' tour of North America.

Speaking to GMA reporter Aubrey Carampel right outside the airport, Ely said they just wanted the Filipino crowd to enjoy themselves.

"Hopefully, we bring a little bit of home to them," he added.

According to the 'Heads, they already have their setlist is ready, having rehearsed enough times before flying out yesterday.

The Eraserheads will first play Las Vegas on Friday, followed by various stops in California before taking on Canada.

They will end their tour in New York on June 17.

The Eraserheads' "Ang Huling El Bimbo" reunion show took place last December at the SMDC grounds where no less than  60,000 fans attended.

For the band what only wanted to play the UP Diliman's AS Steps, going on yet another North American tour is a pretty big deal. — LA, GMA Integrated News
