Three summits in one hike? Check out the Nasugbu Trilogy

If you’re a beginner hiker or if you want to quickly add three summits to your list, then the Nasugbu Trilogy is for you.

Mount Lantik, Mount Talamitam, and Mount Apayang in Nasugbu, Batangas are interconnected mountains that make for a great half-day hike.

According to Sandra Aguinaldo's report on “State of the Nation,” the hike takes only about three hours. if you start in the early morning, you can finish all summits before noon.

“Less challenging siya pero parang mas fulfilling siya kasi in just one hike, parang, nakapunta kami sa tatlong iba’t ibang mountains," hiker Tristan Louis Sicat said.

He added, “Bearable siya lalo na sa mga first-time hikers. Okay na okay siya.”

For Tristan, Mt. Talamitam offers the best view. From its peak, the whole province of Batangas can be seen.

“That was the mountain with the best view, and dun din kami nag picture-picture. Kita mo ‘yung first mountain, kita mo ‘yung second mountain kasi nasa gitna siya eh,” he said.

“It was the best, kung view ‘yung basehan,” Tristan added.

Mt. Talamitam stands at 630ASL, while Mt. Lantik is at 552 ASL. Mt. Apayang meanwhile is at 662 ASL.

There are a number of other mountains you can hike in Batangas. There's the charming Mt. Maculot Rockies, with its sweeping views. There's also the super popular Mt. Batulao with its friendly traverses. Why not add the Nasugbu Trilogy to your Batangas hikes? — Nika Roque/LA, GMA Integrated News
