The Michelin Guide unveils Philippines’ 5 Key Hotels for 2025

The Michelin Guide unveils Philippines’ 5 Key Hotels for 2025

The Michelin Guide has revealed five properties in the Philippines that have been awarded its prestigious Key Hotel distinction for 2025.

Similar to the Michelin Stars given to restaurants, the Michelin Key recognizes hotels that deliver exceptional hospitality experiences.

According to the prestigious guide, hotels with the Michelin Key distinction are “the crème de la crème of our selection.”

“All MICHELIN Guide hotels excel in design, architecture, service, and personality — the MICHELIN Key denotes the most outstanding experiences in our selection,” the guide described.

The Michelin Key has three tiers:

  • One Key: A very special stay
  • Two Keys: An exceptional stay
  • Three Keys: An extraordinary stay

For 2025, five Philippine hotels have earned One Michelin Key:

  • Amanpulo in Palawan
  • Dusit Thani Mactan in Cebu
  • Fairmont Makati in Metro Manila
  • Nay Palad in Siargao
  • Raffles Makati in Metro Manila

In August, the Michelin Guide expanded its list of recommended hotels in the country, bringing the total to 20 establishments.

The first six properties were welcomed in September 2024, followed by five more in May.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated inaugural Michelin Guide Ceremony: Manila and Environs & Cebu 2026 is set for October 30 at the Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts.

The landmark event will feature the unveiling of the first-ever restaurant selection for Manila, nearby provinces, and Cebu, including the Bib Gourmand honorees and the coveted Michelin Stars.
