From marigold farms to rock formations, here are unique spots worth a visit in the Philippines
The Philippines truly has a lot to offer when it comes to unique travel spots!
In Marisol Abdurahman’s report on “Saksi,” she highlighted destinations that range from a marigold farm, to waterfalls reached by hiking, and rocks that resemble sculptures.
In Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, there are crystal clear waters and green mountainside views at Pinsal Falls with rock formations at the top.
Then get a dose of vitamin sea in Currimao, Ilocos Norte, where the West Philippine Sea can be seen while swimming beside the Pangil Rock Formation.
Still up north in Lasam, Cagayan, it takes a two-hour walk to get to Tallok Falls. The rock formations there are reminiscent of the statues found in Easter Island in Chile.
Then down in Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental, nature-hopping is the ultimate treat. By riding a bangka, tourists can visit a wide mangrove plantation and attractions like a giant net and rides made from dried coconut leaves. There is also a monkey sanctuary with 2,000 monkeys. Another attraction is the Talostos Falls.
And finally, in General Santos City, there is a scenic marigold farm perfect for picture-taking.
