This Christmas village in Baguio features Japanese characters, architecture

Want to feel like you're celebrating the holidays in Japan?

In Baguio City, the Baguio Country Club opened its doors to offer guests an out-of-the-country experience in its annual Christmas village.

As seen in a report on "Unang Balita" on Tuesday, the village's natural pine trees were accompanied by artificial cherry blossom trees.

Additionally, the area was decorated with traditional Japanese gates and houses, and the staff made sure to wear kimonos.

More importantly, guests can enjoy the presence of well-loved Japanese characters such as Mario, Goku from "Dragon Ball," and Hello Kitty!

This year's theme is aptly called "Rising Sun."

The grand opening was held over the weekend. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
