These twin falls in Bohol are so scenic, even foreign tourists enjoy them

Nestled in the hills of Dimiao, Bohol are twin falls so stunning, even foreign tourists enjoy them.

Considered a hidden gem, the Pahangog Falls is 300-meter-high wonder with a natural pool at the bottom, perfect for those who want to swim and lounge in the middle of mountains.

According to Marisol Abduraman’s report on “State of the Nation," getting there would have visitors climbing 100-step stairs that would take around 40 minutes.

The falls have captivated foreigners like James McLlroy, who left his busy life in New Zealand for a quiet life in Bohol.

“Being retired at such a young age here in the Philippines gives me a lot of time to tour around Bohol and see all the hidden spots that not many people would get to see,” he said.

James added that he has seen other waterfalls in the Philippines, but that Pahangog Falls is one of his favorites. “It’s a very beautiful place,” he said.

He also has a reminder for his fellow foreigners traveling to the falls.

“I think first and foremost, you have to respect the fact that you’re in another country and the locals work so hard to maintain these places. So I think looking after them as much as you can is definitely what I’d recommend doing,” James said. —Nika Roque/JCB/LA, GMA Integrated News
