TikTok’s Mama Lulu visits Manaoag Church after 18 years

On Mama Lulu’s seventh day in the Philippines, her family traveled to Pangasinan to attend Mass at the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag.

In a TikTok video, Mama Lulu recalled how their family used to frequently visit Pangasinan to attend church since it is her family's home province.

“Excited ako makabalik dahil 18 years akong di nakapunta diyan,” she said.

“Kahit sa Makati ako pinalaki, ang daddy ko [ay] from San Fabian, Pangasinan,” she added.

(I am excite to return since it has been 18 years since I last visited. Even though I was raised in Makati City, my daddy was from San Fabian in Pangasinan.)

After attending church, Mama Lulu enjoyed eating tupig, a traditional snack from Pangasinan made from sticky rice and coconut, and went shopping for souvenirs.

Before visiting Pangasinan, Mama Lulu also toured her hometown of Bangkal, Makati, where she grew up and raised her own family.

Mama Lulu is currently on a two-week vacation in the Philippines. Her last visit was 18 years ago.

During her first week back in the country, she visited her favorite food spot in Manila, went to Tagaytay to eat bulalo (beef shank soup), and reunited with some of her friends.
