Limited slots available for Kalayaan Island tours in West Philippine Sea

The Kalayaan Municipal Tourism Office has opened limited slots for tour packages to the Kalayaan Island Group in the West Philippine Sea.

“Ready for a once-in-a-lifetime journey? The Kalayaan Municipal Tourism Office invites you to experience the beauty and way of life of the Kalayaan Island Group—raw, remote, and truly unforgettable,” the Kalayaan tourism office said in a Facebook post.

“Enjoy COMPLIMENTARY SEA TRANSPORTATION from Buliluyan to Pag-asa Island (roundtrip) when you avail of any of our 9 Days & 8 Nights Tour Packages,” it added.

Under the program, participants may avail of tour packages with accommodation, meals, and guided tours and activities around the town.

The Kalayaan Municipal Tourism Office listed three accommodation-based package options, with rates per person:

• Small cabin (good for two persons): P39,050 per person
• Homestay (good for four persons): P43,550 per person
• Big cabin (good for four persons): P57,050 per person

Due to limited slots, applicants must undergo a screening process. Interested participants are required to submit a two- to three-minute video answering the question: “Why should we pick you?”

Applicants may be content creators who want to showcase the beauty of the West Philippine Sea, diving enthusiasts, or Filipinos who want to visit the island and experience “basic island living.”

“Tell us your story, show us your passion, and convince us you are ready for basic island living with a grand purpose,” the Kalayaan Municipal Tourism Office added.
