Visit Finland is inviting travelers to experience the ultimate summer reset through its “Chill Like a Finn” challenge. It will award six lucky duos with a seven-day, all-expenses-paid trip to the Finnish Lakeland.

The getaway, scheduled for June 2026, will let participants embrace the Finnish way of unwinding: slowing down, switching off from notifications, and reconnecting with nature.

Participants will explore the Finnish Lakeland, Europe’s largest lake district, known for its hundreds of lakes, islands, and tranquil forests.

“An increasing number of international tourists come to Finland searching for the secret to happiness, yet Lakeland is still an undiscovered gem for many,” International Marketing at Business Finland senior director Heli Jimenez said.

“It’s the region Finns themselves return to when they want to relax truly, and the perfect destination for anyone looking to step away from the noise of everyday life.”

Activities may include hiking in Kolovesi National Park, fishing in Lake Saimaa, and foraging in Koli National Park, all while enjoying Finland’s pleasant summer days and cool evenings.

The trip highlights the Finnish approach to slow holidaying, which includes sauna sessions, refreshing lake dips, quiet forest walks, hammock naps, and countryside meals, all far from the pressures of modern life.

According to the official website, participants must be at least 18 years old and pairings can be with anyone, may it be a partner, parent, child, friend, or even a neighbor.

To apply, interested travelers must complete a two-step process: post a short video on Instagram or TikTok introducing themselves and explaining what a Finnish summer escape would mean to them, then fill out the official application form at ChillLikeaFinn.com.
