This is the exact Cebu beach featured on 'Boyfriend on Demand' starring Blackpink's Jisoo, Seo In Guk
Curious which Cebu beach appeared in the new Netflix K-drama, “Boyfriend on Demand”?
The tropical getaway featured in a dreamy sequence featuring Blackpink’s Jisoo and Seo In Guk turns out to be the Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort.
On Facebook, the resort located on Buyong Road, Cebu City shared screenshots of the series, showing the South Korean stars in the country.
“Bluewater Maribago makes a special appearance in Episode 6 of the Netflix Originals Series, Boyfriend on Demand, starring Jisoo and Seo In-Guk!” the resort wrote in the caption.
“We’re thrilled to see a piece of Cebu shining on screen in this Korean Drama,” it added.
Netflix Philippines also shared a short clip showing Jisoo’s character, Mi Rae, daydreaming about the Philippines, with Cebu’s picturesque beauty on full display.
Viewers were treated to sweeping shots of white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and bright blue skies.
The “Love the Philippines” sign was also visible in the background, while resort staff sport matching T-shirts bearing the local slogan.
“Last summer in the Philippines was the best. I wish I could go swimming. When is summer coming?” Mi Rae thought to herself.
In February last year, Jisoo and Seo In Guk were spotted in Cebu for the romance series.
“Boyfriend on Demand” follows the story of Mi Rae, an overworked producer, who signs up for the "Monthly Boyfriend" service, which lets her create and experience her ideal romantic partners whenever she wants.
Mi Rae then finds herself leading a double life: in the virtual world, she goes on perfect dates with charming men ranging from dashing princes to doctors, each designed to reignite her love life; in the real world, Mi Rae repeatedly crosses paths with Kyeong Nam (In Guk), her rival producer.
The series also stars Seo Kangjun, Lee Soohyuk, Ong Seongwu, Lee Jaewook, Lee Hyunwook, and Jay Park, among others.
