PAL now allows cats to on board domestic flights

Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Saturday announced that its FurPAL program now allows cats to join their fur-parents in trips across the country.

In a news release, PAL said cats can now be onboarded in all its domestic flights.

Earlier this year, the flag carrier allowed small dogs up to 10 kilograms and at least eight weeks old to be brought by passengers in-cabin to all local destinations.

"For a one-way fee starting at P2,500, the enhanced program now allows small cats to travel in the aircraft cabin, subject to applicable requirements and guidelines," PAL said.

"By making pet-friendly travel more accessible, passengers may now bring one small dog or cat inflight and enjoy every step of the journey with greater comfort and peace of mind," the flag carrier said.

Pets must be transported in a soft-sided, leak-proof carrier with pee pads and at least two ventilation panels, and must be inside their carriers and placed under the seat in front of the passenger throughout the flight.

Launched in November 2025, the FurPAL program initially covered flights to Boracay, Bohol, and Siargao.
