Cebu Pacific raises carry-on baggage limit to 10 kg on select flights
Cebu Pacific will raise the total hand-carry baggage allowance to 10 kilos on its 5J flights starting Sept. 15, 2026, while Cebgo (DG) flights will retain their 7-kilo limit, according to its social media post on Friday night.
Under the updated policy, passengers on 5J flights may bring up to two pieces of hand-carry items—a baggage piece for the overhead bin and one personal item to be placed under the seat.
The hand-carry baggage must not exceed 56 centimeters in height, 36 centimeters in length, and 23 centimeters in width. Personal items must be no larger than 20 centimeters by 35 centimeters by 20 centimeters.
Cebu Pacific said the updated policy aims to give passengers more flexibility while helping its crew manage baggage more efficiently, complete pre-departure procedures on time, and keep flights on schedule.
Passengers are reminded that hand-carry items exceeding the airline's allowed number, weight, or size limits will have to be checked in, subject to applicable baggage fees.
The airline encouraged passengers who need additional baggage to pre-purchase a checked baggage allowance or add more baggage through its Manage Booking portal. —LDF, GMA News
