International technology, infrastructure, and outsourcing conglomerate iSON Group plans to invest $375 million over the next 10 years to expand its network in the Philippines, adding up to 400 new towers annually and developing businesses in agrotech, health, and contact centers.

According to the Department of Trade and Investment (DTI), iSON Group, through iSON Tower, plans to invest up to $300 million to expand its network to 3,000 towers, building 300 to 400 towers each year and creating over 100 additional direct jobs.

It is also looking to invest $75 million across three growth sectors — $50 million for a landmark agro-solar project with a 40 megawatt-peak renewable solar photovoltaic facility in New Clark City; $15 million to expand digital healthcare services; and $10 million to expand contact center operations.

The DTI said the initiatives were presented during a business meeting with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., DTI Secretary Cristina Roque, Finance Secretary Frederick Go, and Information and Communications Technology Secretary Henry Aguda last Saturday, September 12.

Roque has reportedly assured iSON Group executives of Philippine investment facilitation measures, including CREATE More, which gives qualified projects extended fiscal incentives for 14 to 26 years, and green-lane expedited processing.

“They are expanding here because of our strong economic growth, steady business environment, and talented workforce,” Roque said in an emailed statement.

“Their investment in telecom, agriculture, healthcare, and BPO bring in capital and technology that will bring better connectivity, strengthen our local industries, and create quality jobs for Filipinos,” she added. —RF, GMA News
