GCash services restored after temporary downtime

Services of GCash, operated by G-Xchange Inc. (GXI), have been restored as of Wednesday noon, the mobile wallet operator announced.

In an advisory, GCash said services have been “fully restored,” and the mobile application may now be used “as usual” after being down earlier in the day.

The fintech firm did not elaborate on the cause of the downtime, but said additional support for concerns is available through the GCash Help Center or hotline.

GXI’s parent company Mynt Inc. is set to make its stock market debut next month, with the final initial public offering (IPO) price set to be determined on Thursday, October 1, 2026. —VAL, GMA News
