Penshoppe direct seller to expand to Visayas, Mindanao

CEBU CITY, Philippines â Red Logo Lifestyle, Inc., a direct selling subsidiary of Penshoppe maker Golden ABC, Inc., is expanding to Cebu and other cities in the Visayas and Mindanao next year after only six months of operation. Since it was launched in April, Red Logo has attracted more than 10,000 dealers nationwide, Golden ABC Chief Executive Officer Bernie H. Liu said. "Thatâs very good for a start-up direct selling company," he said. The direct selling sector is said to be a bright spot in the retail industry, which is expected to decline next year as consumers spend less amid a slowing global economy. Red Logo has put up three branches in Metro Manila and plans to open a fourth branch in Alabang in two weeks. It will also put up branches in key cities in the Visayas and Mindanao starting in Cebu in the first quarter of next year. Expansion will start in areas where Golden ABC, which has more than 400 outlets nationwide, has a presence. But unlike Penshoppe, Oxygen, Memo and ForMe outlets â usually found in big malls â Red Logo outlets will open in areas that are more accessible to dealers.
