PSE goes to Tarlac, Baguio to entice investors

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) will embark on roadshows in Tarlac and Baguio next week to widen investor education program and increase local participation in the stock market, its president Francis Lim said. Entrepreneurs, young professionals, investors, academe, officers and members of various cooperatives and business organizations are expected to attend the market roadshows on Tarlac on Sept. 1 and Baguio on Sept. 3 "Through this financial literacy campaign, we hope to also promote the stock market as an effective venue for mobilizing capital for business enterprises outside Metro Manila," he said. The Tarlac City briefing will be held at the La Majarica Hotel and the Baguio City seminar at Baguio Country Club. Both briefings start at 2 and ends at 5 p.m. Activities during the event will include seminars on investing in the capital market and initial public offering, exhibits, and investment consultation sessions with stock market practitioners. -GMANews.TV
