Bloomberry tops out hotel tower in PAGCOR Entertainment City
Solaire Manila, the first resort hotel being built in the Bagong Nayong Pilipino Entertainment City complex in the Manila Bay reclaimed area, will “shift to higher gear” following the topping out of its hotel tower, according to Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels Inc. chairman and CEO Enrique Razon Jr. Tuesday. “Simultaneous with the topping out ceremony, Bloomberry also began structural works on the extension of Phase 1, which will see the expansion of the retail outlets, a boutique hotel, a live performance theater and a bigger garage building,” BRHI said in a disclosure through its listed vehicle, Bloomberry Resorts Corp. Estimated investment for the first phase, BRHI said, is $650 million for the hotel tower, convention facilities, gaming areas, restaurants, retail shops, and health and wellness facilities. Long term, the total cost could reach $1.2 billion. “Only a year ago, this same spot where we are was but barren, unproductive land. But today, you see massive structures and a bustling commune with a 5,000-strong labor force who work 24/7 to complete our integrated resort complex,” Razon said. The Bloomberry integrated resort is one of four projects in the 120-hectare Entertainment City complex of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR). — ELR, GMA News
