The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) on Tuesday said it posted P984.361 million in gross revenue for 2011, up 9.5 percent or P85.643 million from P898.673 million a year earlier.
“The increase in investments in Clark is due to the sound economic policies of President Aquino which largely helped boost the potential of Clark as one of the most progressive free port zones in the country today,” state-owned CDC said in a statement on its website.
CDC, which manages Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, has 552 active locators employing about 64,256 workers.
In 2011, CDC signed more than P22.9 billion worth of investments.
Since January this year, 36 new investments were signed, including 17 leased agreements worth P2.6 billion and span five years. —RRD/VS, GMA News
