(Updated 11:04 a.m.) - At least three oil firms have raised prices for gasoline and diesel starting 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Oil company PTT announced Monday night that it was increasing prices of its gasoline and diesel products effective 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Petrol Price Watch reported PTT was raising prices of gasoline by 45 centavos per liter, and diesel by 70 centavos per liter.

PTT stations in Cebu will not be covered by the hike, however, as the province is still recovering from the Oct. 15 magnitude-7.2 earthquake.

Petron Corp. will also implement the same price increases for gasoline and diesel – except in the areas of Samar, Leyte, Aklan and Bohol – to reflect movements in the international oil market.

Total Philippines Corp. said it will similarly hike its prices except in Cebu City, Liloan and Bogo, Cebu.

Fuel companies had adjusted their prices last week, citing changes in the world market.  — With a report from Danessa O. Rivera/DVM/KG, GMA News
