The Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) is scrambling to find a new maintenance provider for Metro Rail Transit-3's P2.4-billion maintenance contract, even if it has yet to finish reviewing why the two previously held bidding processes failed.
"Ngayon buwan na 'to, ngayong Marso, sana ay masimulan na natin ang proseso muli sa pagkuha ng maintenance provider," DOTC spokesperson Miguel Sagcal told reporters on the sidelines of the Arangkada Forum held in Makati City.
The MRT maintenance contract held by Autre Porte Technique Global Inc. will end this month, the DOTC official said.
The bidding for the maintenance contract failed twice – once last year and the other on January 20, 2015. No company submitted a bid. – VS, GMA News
