Industrial process outsourcing firm Atlantic Gulf & Pacific Company (AG&P) on Thursday said it is hiring more than 2,000 workers to build liquefied natural gas (LNG) modules in Batangas province for projects in Russia and Australia.
"Over the next three months, we expect to create thousands of jobs to build these complex and exciting modules to the highest levels of safety and quality in our yards at Batangas outside of Manila,” AG&P chairman William Ottiger said in a statement.
He said the company seeks to deliver some of the largest LNG modules ever built "accelerating project construction and minimizing the time to commercial operation."
AG&P Human Resources vice president Cecile Batalia said the company needs welders, quality inspectors, structural and piping, engineers, structural fitters, electrical technicians, detailers and checkers, field and project engineers, project managers and safety personnel.
She said the company is working 24/7 to process local and overseas candidates with a view to immediately hiring qualified applicants.
AG&P builds modular components and provides construction and support services to offshore and onshore oil and gas, mining, power and industrial infrastructure projects.
“The Filipino workforce will have excellent opportunities to obtain world-class skills, professional training and hands-on experience while providing significant value to the local economy,” Ottiger said.
