A power interruption lasting up to nine hours may affect parts of La Union early Saturday, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said.

The NGCP said the power interruption is scheduled 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and may affect La Union Electric Cooperative (LUELCO) Aringay, Damortis and Alacan Substations.

It said the affected areas include:
- Caba, Tubao, Agoo, Pugo, Rosario, and Sto. Tomas, La Union
- parts of Sison and San Fabian, Pangasinan

This is due to the replacement of selected line hardware and correction of leaning poles along Bauang-San Fabian 69-kilovolt line.

Meanwhile, the NGCP said Friday afternoon that a scheduled power interruption affecting parts of Ilocos Sur on Saturday has been postponed to 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. of July 18. —NB, GMA News
