NGCP: 19 transmission lines restored, 16 still undergoing repair

Typhoon Lando has caused power interruptions and outages in various cities and municipalities in different regions in Luzon.

According to its 11 a.m. update, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has restored a total of 19 transmission lines while it is still working on 16 others.

NGCP noted that loss of power in some areas may be caused by affected transmission or distribution facilities of local distribution utilities or electric cooperatives.

It has also implemented the necessary preparations and precautions to minimize the impact of the typhoon on its operation and facilities.
