Megaworld Corp. announced on Tuesday it is developing a 140-hectare property in General Trias, Cavite.

In a disclosure to the local bourse, the company said it will call its newest development "Maple Grove" — its 21st township project.

“In the last 27 years, we have built townships that cater to the evolving lifestyles of Filipinos. As we continue to expand our township footprint in key growth areas across the country, innovation and design will be a significant factor in our masterplans,” said Jericho Go, senior vice president of Megaworld.

The company is allocating P10-billion in the next 10 years to develop Maple Grove.

“An integral part of the township’s masterplan will be on sustainability and environmental responsibility. We hope to see our future stakeholders in Maple Grove live, work and play in a smart and green community,” Go said.

Maple Grove is the company's fourth township development in Cavite-Batangas area.

Megaworld is also developing Twin Lakes near Tagaytay and Southwoods City located in the boundaries of Cavite and Laguna. —JST, GMA News
