Senate conducts final hearing on $81-M money laundering scheme

The Senate blue ribbon committee on Thursday conducted its seventh hearing on the $81-million money laundering scheme. Committee chairman Sen. TG Guingona said it would be the last hearing, citing time constraints given the impending change in the composition of the Senate following the May 9 elections.

“Thank you for your confidence, but due to time constraints we have to end and make a committee report,” Guingona said.
