Fuel prices drop anew

Flying V, Eastern Petroleum Corp., Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc., Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. on Monday announced a cut in pump prices of petroleum products this week.

Shell and Flying V are rolling back gasoline prices by P0.75 per liter, diesel by P0.90, and kerosene by P0.90.

Phoenix, Unioil, and Eastern Petroleum will cut down gasoline by P0.75 and diesel by P0.90.

The price adjustments will take effect 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2 for Shell, Phoenix, and Unioil and 12:01 a.m. the same day for all the other companies.

Department of Energy (DOE) data shows that diesel prices currently range from P24.35 to P27.75 per liter, and gasoline from P34.15 to P41.20. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
