Gasoline prices up P0.25 per liter Tuesday

Motorists are again in for higher pump prices of petroleum products this week, in line with adjustments in the world crude oil market.

In separate advisories on Monday, Flying V, Petron Corp., PTT Philippines Corp., SEAOIL Philippines Inc., Eastern Petroleum Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. and Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. announced a P0.25-per-liter increase in gasoline prices. There will be no change in diesel prices.

Shell, Petron and Flying V are also raising kerosene prices by P0.15 per liter.

The adjustments will take effect 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, except for Flying V which will implement the changes 12:01 a.m.

According to data from the Department of Energy (DOE), diesel prices currently range from P28.40 to P34.30 per liter, and gasoline from P40.30 to P49.40. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
