Several netizens are claiming there have been unauthorized withdrawals from their ATM accounts with BDO Unibank in the past week.
One JM Balingit alleged on his Facebook page he lost P50,000 Monday evening, June 10, and urged other BDO customers to check their accounts.
Twitter users also posted that their accounts were supposedly hacked. One of them claimed having been notified by BDO that P15,000 was withdrawn from his account.

So I just found out that my ATM account got hacked while I was in camp. Praise God for the efficiency of BDO's system for intercepting it.

One user from Cebu also posted on his Facebook page claiming that someone had been withdrawing from his automated teller account (ATM) account without his knowledge.
After receiving reports of potentially compromised ATMs, BDO said customers should reach out to them so that the incident may be investigated.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas is monitoring the situation.
