Oil firms raising pump prices of petroleum products Tuesday
Motorists are in for higher prices of petroleum products starting Tuesday as oil companies are adjusting prices of diesel, kerosene and gasoline.
In separate advisories Monday, Flying V, Petron Corp., SEAOIL Philippines Inc., and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. said they are raising gasoline prices by P0.40 per liter, diesel by P0.40, and kerosene by P0.50.
Eastern Petroleum Corp., PTT Philippines Corp., Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc., and Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement similar adjustments, excluding kerosene which the oil firms do not carry.
Flying V will have the new prices at 12:01 a.m. on September 5, and the other companies at 6:00 a.m.
Other companies have yet to announce any adjustment in pump prices.
According to recent data available from the Department of Energy, diesel prices in the country currently range from P32.98 to P39.10 per liter, and gasoline from P39.40 to P49.40. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
