Cebu Pacific implements new baggage policy

Cebu Pacific Air has some news for you hefty packers.

On January 15, the budget airline will be implementing a new baggage policy which only allows the following number of bags for each type of weight allowance:

• Standard (20 kg) – up to 2 pieces of baggage
• Large (32 kg) – up to 3 pieces of baggage
• Extra-Large (40 kg) – up to 4 pieces of baggage

Passengers who will go over may purchase more baggage allowance up to four hours before the flight, the advisory said.

It was also noted on the Cebu Pacific website that the maximum weight for each piece of check-in baggage is 32 kg.

It added that passengers may also bring 1 piece of carry-on baggage inside the cabin with a maximum weight of 7 kg and that fits inside the overhead bins and 1 small bag that can fit under the seat.

The airline will "strictly" be monitoring the number of pieces of check-in baggage based on the weight allowance the passenger has purchased. — MDM, GMA News
