LRT-1 lifts ban on liquids

Light Rail Transit Line 1 operator Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC) on Tuesday lifted the ban on liquids more than a month after other railway lines lifted the same prohibition.

This was announced by the LRMC on its Facebook post.

Passengers can now bring liquid items such as water, perfume, hand sanitizer, lotion, rubbing alcohol, and others onboard LRT-1 trains.

Metro Manila's railway lines prohibited liquid items inside trains and stations as part of heightened security measures on the heels of the deadly Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Jolo, Sulu bombing on January 27. —NB, GMA News
