Meralco bares list of areas to be affected by 1 hour rotational brownouts
Customers of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) should brace for temporary power interruption on Tuesday after the Luzon power grid was placed on red alert due to thinning supply.
In an advisory, Meralco said the following areas may be affected by a rotational brownout between 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.:
Cavite
- Bacoor- Molino VII
- Dasmariñas City- Salawag
Laguna
- San Pedro- Cuyab, Landayan, Nueva, San Antonio, San Pedro (Town Proper), San Vicente, Sto. Niño
Las Piñas
- Almanza I, Almanza II, Bf Homes, Tindig Mangga
Makati City
- Poblacion
Mandaluyong City
Addition Hills, Bagong Silang, Barangka Drive, Barangka Ibaba, Barangka Ilaya, Barangka Itaas, Buayang Bato, Burol, Daang Bakal, Hagdang Bato Itaas, Hagdang Bato Libis, Harapin Ang Bukas, Highway Hills, Hulo, Mabini-J. The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) placed the Luzon grid on yellow and red alerts.
The NGCP said the available capacity of the Luzon grid is 10,576MW while the peak demand is at 10,536MW. — RSJ, GMA News
