Luzon grid on yellow, red alerts on Wednesday, April 24, 2019

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines on Wednesday said the Luzon grid will be on yellow and red alerts during the day.

The Luzon grid will be on yellow alert at the following hours:

• 8-10 a.m.
• 4-6 p.m.
• 7-11 p.m.

It will be on red alert at the following hours:

• 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
• 6-7 p.m.

The NGCP said the available capacity of the Luzon grid is 10,741MW.

Peak demand is at 10,525MW.

The company said the Department of Energy will provide more details regarding the cause of the yellow and red alerts later in the day.
